Season 18 was big for many reasons, amongst them was the first season produced by the infamous John Nathan-Turner and the last to feature the long standing Tom Baker in the role. Romana finally leaves, the Fifth Doctor’s famous companions make their first appearances, that controversial burgundy costume and K-9 took an almighty pounding. Along with reviews there will be in depth looks at some of the aspects of the season, such as the changes brought about to ‘update’ the series and the return of one of the Doctor’s biggest enemies. Have you read About Time Volume 5? In that book writers Tat Wood and Lawrence Miles take totally opposing views on the merits of John Nathan Turner's changes.
When reviewing each story they play prosecution and defence.
They don't state who is who, but judging by their story preferences, I guess it is Lawrence Miles who like the JNT years and Tat Wood who hates them.
